]]>The festive music video shows the trio performing the song on a glitzy stage, surrounded by backup dancers in festive outfits. “Oh Santa!” was previously released as one of the songs from Carey’s 2010 album Merry Christmas II You, and the new version is even more amazing.
Grande and Hudson are among the A-list stars who made an appearance in Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, which aired on Apple TV+ on December 4th. “Oh Santa!” is one of the songs performed in the special, and it’s also included on the accompanying soundtrack.
The album also includes several timeless Christmas classics and some of Carey’s very best original songs. The first track that comes to mind is “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, which broke several major records when it topped the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time last year, 25 years after its original release.

]]>Wham’s original is a song that gets played over and over again on the radio every year. Pale Waves surprisingly chose the cheese-fest of a banger to cover and managed to put a gothic twist on it. What’s impressive is the fact that it sounds even more 80s than the original.
Robyn also decided to give Wham’s song a go and it is miles apart from Pale Waves cover. It’s stripped back, heartfelt and even more powerful than the original.
D.r Seuss himself wrote the lyrics for the original 1966 animated movie The Grinch and Tyler the Creator put a modern spin on the song for the 2018 remake. I’ve already re-listened to this twice since starting this article. It’s that infectious.
Shame has been one of the bands to watch out for this year and they have topped the year off with a fantastic cover of one of the merriest Christmas bangers. It’s more fun than we can handle.
This song stayed at number one for four weeks when Mud released it in 1974. This moody cover is the perfect Christmas track to snuggle up to when you have that dreaded boxing day hangover.
