According to Charli XCX, the two have been quite active in sharing music ideas and turning them into reality.

“We’ve done a couple of things together. We’ve got a few ideas in the works,” Charli XCX said.

The English singer/songwriter also opened up on the dynamics of working with a person that she is also in a relationship with.

“It’s funny, I have never been in a relationship with someone that I’ve worked with, so it’s like a whole new dynamic, but it’s cool,” she explained. “There will probably be a couple of songs that he’s worked on with me.”

Charli XCX and George Daniel have teamed up on a number of songs in the past. Their first collaboration was No Rome’s 2021 single “Spinning,” which also featured The 1975’s frontman Matty Healy. The couple later collaborated on Charli XCX’s tracks “Crash,” “Selfish Girl,” and “How Can I Not Know What I Need Right Now” among others.

Charli XCX and Daniel confirmed their relationship in 2022. They announced their engagement back in November.

Charli XCX’s post follows several speculations and teases about the possible collaboration between the artists.

Back in 2019, The 1975’s frontman Matt Healy shared on Instagram that he sent Charli XCX “a beat,” and the signer returned “a monster tune” the next morning. Charli then confirmed she has teamed up with Healy in an interview with NME, saying that the two “sent some ideas back and forth.”

The collab looked like it went cold until earlier this year when Healy told his followers on Instagram that he is working on new music, including a song with Charli XCX.

No Rome revealed he is part of the project in February, writing on Twitter that the trio already has a track in-store and that it’s “coming out sooner than u think.”

Further details about the release are yet to be revealed.

Most recently, Charli XCX’s appeared as a guest on ELIO’s single “CHARGER.” She presented her latest studio album, How I’m Feeling Now, last year.

The 1975 have been reportedly working on a new album in recent months. The record would follow the 2020’s critically acclaimed Notes on a Conditional Form.

“I’m going to use this isolation time to make a brand new album from scratch,” she said in a video posted on social media. “I’m only going to be able to use the tools I have at my fingertips to create all music, all artwork, all videos… everything—in that sense, it’ll be very DIY.”

Shortly after making the announcement, the “Break the Rules” singer shared an instrumental version for one of her new songs.

Charli XCX released her most recent studio album Charli back in 2019. The release had 15 songs and featured a number of contributing acts include Troye Sivan, Lizzo, and Haim. It peaked at No.42 on US Billboard, while reaching No.14 on UK Charts. The album was also well received by the critics, who praised the production and songwriting.
