]]>This has been an amazing week for female-centric hip-hop remixes, the likes of which we haven’t seen since “Savage” and “Say So” remixes hit the shelves around the same time in 2020. This time around, the remix wars are fought between “Kill Bill” by SZA ft. Doja Cat and “Princess Diana” by Ice Spice ft. Nicki Minaj – and we’re all winners here.
As for the new album releases this week, Metallica’s 72 Seasons will certainly make the biggest mark, and we made sure to include its latest single “Sleepwalk My Life Away”. Angel Olsen also impressed us with her latest EP Forever Means and its title song.
It’s also been a great week for pop music, with Kelly Clarkson making a comeback with double single “Mine/Me” and Céline Dion impressing us with a new song from Love Again soundtrack. Even Post Malone made a shift to pop with his new song “Chemical”, and used it to tease his fifth studio album.

]]>“Courage, don’t you dare fail me now / I need you to keep away the doubts” and “facing a train wreck, but I’m not crashed yet” are some of the lyrics from the title song “Courage.” It may be the most personal of the released songs. It was written by Stephan Moccio, Erik Alcock, and Liz Rodrigues.
“Imperfections” is an upbeat song produced by dallasK who also co-wrote and produced Fifth Harmony’s “Work from Home.” “Lying Down” is more traditionally fit for the singer known ballads with some electronic touches. It was written by Sia with David Guetta and Giorgio Tuinfort.
Dion will tour Canada and the U.S. until April 27, 2020.

After eight years spent in Las Vegas, the Canadian singer is very excited about creating a brand-new show and taking it all across North America.

]]>French filmmaker Valérie Lemercier will be in charge of both directing this exciting project and portraying the Canadian music icon.
The film will follow Dion’s life from birth though her childhood in 1960s Quebec, where she grew up as the youngest of 14 children in a poor, but happy family. It will also focus on her rise to stardom, relationship with manager and future husband René Angélil and enormous grief following his death.
Lemercier decided to get on board after learning more about Dion’s family history. She was moved by everything the iconic musician went through and decided to do all in her power to share her story with the rest of the world.
“I discovered the strength of their love story and their great humor, and I better understood how the alchemy of their three individual ambitions made an unwanted, little girl the greatest star on the planet,” explained Lemercier.

]]>More than 300,000 people are expected to visit sin city on Monday to watch the city’s famous eight minutes of fireworks. At the Park casino resort park, celebrations already started on Friday, with Lady Gaga leading performances.
Not so far away, Maroon 5 will be performing at The Mandalay Bay Events Center while veteran Celine Dion will part of the artists performing at the Caesars Palace. Gwen Stefani of Hollaback Girl will perform at the Zappos Theater while J. Cole and the Chainsmokers will be live at nearby casinos. Katy Perry J.LO and Bruno Mars will also been in Vegas to welcome the New Year.
While there will be similar celebrations countrywide, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority believe that nothing can top Nevada’s New Year Celebrations.
“The city continues to evolve itself. We never run out of things to do,” Jacqueline Peterson, an official from the visitors authority said.
Like it’s the tradition, hotel rooms in Las Vegas are usually booked at this time of the year. Anyone planning to visit the city to watch stars perform may have to act fast.

The concert will be filmed for television and will air on CBS at some point in 2019.
Besides previously mentioned acts, Aretha! A Grammy Celebration for the Queen of Soul will also feature performances from Jennifer Hudson, H.E.R., Chloe X Halle, BeBe Winans, Yolanda Adams, and Shirley Caesar.
“Aretha was more than the Queen of Soul; she was a national treasure,” – said record executive and frequent Aretha Franklin’s collaborator Clive Davis in a statement. “This unique concert – featuring many of today’s greatest artists – will celebrate Aretha in a spectacular manner befitting her once-in-a-lifetime talent.”
“Aretha had an incredible effect on humanity and music with her indomitable spirit and grace. We look forward to honoring this music legend with numerous performers who all admire and respect the Queen of Soul.” – added Jack Sussman, CBS VP of Specials, Music and Live Events.
Aretha Franklin is considered one of the greatest music artist in history, having a career that spanned more than 65 years. During that time she recorded 38 studio albums, and won 18 Grammy awards and earned 44 nominations.
Franklin died in August 2017 after battling pancreatic cancer. She was 76-years-old.
