]]>Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story documentary talks about the path of Birdman’s Cash Money Records from humble beginnings to being one of the most iconic and successful record labels in hip-hop history. In addition to the new Big Tymers song, the documentary’s soundtrack also contains Birdman’s collab with Young Thug, “Lil One.” You can check out the music video for the song, featuring Paris Hilton, below.
Big Tymers were founded by Birdman and Mannie Fresh in 1993 in New Orleans. The duo released their debut album in 1997 titled How You Luv That, which sold 100,000 copies without any backing from the radio stations. The follow-up How You Luv That Vol. 2 was released a year later and gave the band more exposure. In 2002 came the duo’s most successful album, Hood Rich, which peaked at number one of the US Billboard 200 and remains their bestselling album to date. Mannie Fresh left the Big Tymers in 2002, after a financial dispute with Birdman’s Cash Money Records, but returned for the last album, 2003’s Big Money Heavyweight.
