Marvel Cinematic Universe will never be the same after Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26. This franchise provided us with a series of epic moments over the course of the last decade – and some of them just happened to feature an amazing musical score.

Captain Marvel – Just a Girl

Its ’90s setting allowed Captain Marvel to bring back some of our favorite hits of the decade and No Doubt’s single “Just a Girl” perfectly captured the spirit of the titular superheroine.

Thor: Ragnarok – Immigrant Song

Thor: Ragnarok gave our favorite Norse god the movie he deserves. The amazing soundtrack was a part of the reason why it worked and this Led Zeppelin classic served as a perfect backdrop for the movie’s final action sequence.

Guardians of the Galaxy – O-O-H Child

If there’s one musical moment in the MCU that we’ll never be able to forget, it’s the dance-off between Star-Lord and Ronan to the beats of “O-O-H Child” by the Five Stairsteps.

This movie was filled with a series of timeless classics thanks to its signature Awesome Mix, and they all deserve the top spot, but this one is our personal favorite.

Brie Larson is currently busy promoting her latest movie, Captain Marvel, and she recently made an appearance on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke alongside her co-star Samuel L. Jackson. Viewers were surprised by her impressive singing abilities, but that’s only because they’ve forgotten that Larson was once an aspiring pop star.

A decade before winning her Oscar for Room, Larson dropped her first and only album Finally Out of P.E. She even had Avril Lavigne writing one of the tracks on this record, but that didn’t help her hit the charts.

Larson’s LP only sold 4,000 copies in the United States, but the single “She Said” was a relative success and it somehow reached no. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. The aspiring punk-pop princess found the whole thing extremely exhausting and eventually decided to pick a different career path.

“I realized how much time I was spending getting ready for life — I wasn’t actually living it. It was the most terrified I’ve ever been in my life. So I went in the exact opposite way,” explained Brie Larson during an interview with BuzzFeed News.

The Marvel star never expressed any regrets about leaving music behind. If Carpool Karaoke thought us anything, it’s that she still has a killer voice, but many of her fans were fully aware of it long before this show came along.

She delivered a powerful rendition of Metric’s “Black Sheep” in the cult hit Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and we wouldn’t complain seeing her star in a musical, since it’s pretty much the only genre she still hasn’t explored.
