“Barbie Girl” was originally released by Danish-Norwegian dance-pop group Aqua in 1997, as the third single from their debut studio album Aquarium. It went on to become one of the best-selling singles of all time and reached No. 1 in many countries across the globe, including Australia and the UK.

Søren Rasted added they’re still excited to see Barbie because “it’s going to bring [them] a lot of attention, no matter what.”
