]]>Disney gave us several pretty amazing soundtracks this year, but none of them managed to reach the popularity of Frozen and its signature song “Let It Go”.
The Freddie Mercury biopic starring Rami Malek was pretty polarizing, but it renewed public interest in Queen’s work and we must thank it for that.
If we had to name one original musical that defined the 2010s, it would certainly be La La Land, and it simply wouldn’t work without its amazing soundtrack.
Even those who didn’t like The Greatest Showman have to agree that the music was perfect, and it gave us several great songs that were later re-imagined by some of our favorite artists.
A Star Is Born was remade several times and always featured an epic soundtrack, but none of them compares to the one we’ve got thanks to Lady Gaga.
Unlike the majority of the soundtracks on the lists, this one doesn’t feature any new original songs, but Awesome Mix Vol. 1 was the very heart and soul of this Marvel smash hit.

]]>Earlier this year, Cooper and Gaga performed ‘Shallow’ at the Oscars after the talented singer-songwriter took home the Oscar for Best Original Song. Fans were taken aback by their spectacular chemistry on stage and have been desperate to hear more from the duo, who co-starred as the love-struck Jack and Ally in Cooper’s A Star Is Born.
Speaking with Ellen DeGeneres, Cooper has now suggested that another performance could be a possibility in the future.
“You know what I thought would be really cool to do maybe one night, is do a live reading of the movie, of the script, and sing all the songs as you’re reading the script at The Hollywood Bowl or something,” he told DeGeneres.
“The Oscars was pretty terrifying,” he continued. “It was crazy. I actually wasn’t nervous because I worked so hard and Lady Gaga’s so supportive. But it was terrifying, absolutely, because I’m not a singer and I didn’t sing before this movie so it was really crazy.
“But it just shows that if you do work really hard and you’re with supportive people that you can do things that you never dreamed was possible. Because I do think with the Oscar thing, people will never watch the movie again if this is bad. Like, ‘they can’t do it’.”
He added: “It was one of those things where this has to be great. It felt great.”

]]>The soundtrack managed to dethrone Ariana Grande’s latest record Thank U, Next and become Gaga’s longest-running no. 1 album, after four non-consecutive weeks on the top.
The meme-worthy Oscar duet is the main reason why it returned to the no. 1 spot, but experts believe that the sales also surged after Mother Monster shared the news about a price drop with millions of her followers.
These aren’t the only amazing news we recently received from A Star Is Born. Warner Bros. released an encore version of this film on March 1, but it will only be available for a week in theaters across North America.
Moviegoers who are fortunate enough to see it will be treated to 12 additional minutes of never-before-seen footage. In addition to offering extended versions of several beloved songs, encore version shows Jack and Ally writing a new song cold “Clover”.

]]>Despite the fact she has dozens of hit songs on her resume, Clarkson often celebrates her favorite artists by performing covers of their tracks during her concerts. Lady Gaga was the latest singer she showered with compliments before performing her Oscar-nominated tune.
“It’s cool just to know that someone that talented is also really nice. I’ve been rooting for her for a while. This song, I just, I love it. It’s from that movie that she’s nominated for a billion awards for, and I hope she wins… I hope I don’t suck, and if I do, I hope she doesn’t see it!” said Kelly Clarkson.
The audience went crazy after the singer announced which song she’s going to perform, and she gave them chills with her take on this moving power ballad. We’re sure Lady Gaga would approve!

]]>This slow-burning power ballad was a favorite from the very start, but Gaga was still surprised after learning she’s the winner. Mother Monster accepted her Golden Globe alongside Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt.
Ronson was mostly in charge of delivering their acceptance speech, and thanked Bradley Cooper for taking this heartfelt tune and giving it emotional resonance. He also thanked Lady Gaga and called her the captain of the S.S. Shallow.
“The genius comes from you. It’s up there. You’re the one who let us into the deep waters and truly made the song what it is with your devastatingly beautiful performance as an actor and a singer,” said Ronson.
Gaga thanked her co-writers for lifting her up and supporting her throughout this process, and gave a shout-out to Bradley Cooper while speaking backstage shortly after receiving the award.
“He was incredible as a director and I loved working with him, he made me a better actress. But what we are really excited to be on this stage for is how much he believed in this song as a vehicle for story telling in this film,” said Lady Gaga.
