]]>According to the band’s official statement, their latest album borrows its name from the term “pink elephant”, which refers to the paradoxical effect where the effort to suppress a thought leads to it being impossible to avoid.
“When experienced in its entirety, Pink Elephant invites the listener on a sonic odyssey – a quest for life – that exists within the perception of the individual, a meditation on both darkness and light, the beauty within. The layers of this condensed epic unfold to reveal new dimensions with each successive listen,” reads Arcade Fire’s press release.
They described the genre of their new record as “cinematic mystical punk” and confirmed it will feature 10 brand-new tracks. “Year of the Snake” was released as the lead single, while the tracklist also includes such titles as “Open Your Heart or Die Trying”, “Beyond Salvation”, and “Alien Nation”.

]]>Doechii originally performed “Anxiety” in a music session on her YouTube channel in 2019, but it took years for its studio version to see the light of day. She addressed her fans by writing, “Swamp, I heard y’all loud n clear!” and shared a visualizer that features two mirrored black-and-white images of herself, connected by her braids.
The song samples Gotye’s megahit “Somebody That I Used to Know” ft. Kimbra, and it started trending on TikTok in recent weeks, inspiring Doechii to seize the moment and drop it as a single. A sample of “Anxiety” was previously featured on Sleepy Hallow’s track of the same name from 2023.
Doechii didn’t have a huge following when “Anxiety” was first released, but her fans rediscovered it as her star rose in recent months. She made quite a splash with her latest mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal, which won her a Grammy Award for the best rap album and produced hit singles “Nissan Altima” and “Denial Is a River”.
