Addison Rae did a great job teasing her debut studio album, and she finally announced its release. Her self-titled debut studio album Addison is coming our way this June, and it will feature the previously released hit singles “Diet Pepsi” and “Aquamarine”.

Addison will be released on June 6, 2025, through Columbia Records, and it marks the follow-up to the singer’s debut EP AR from 2023. She teased its release with the lead single “Diet Pepsi”, her first song to enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which was later followed by “Aquamarine”, “High Fashion”, and “Headphones On”.

Rae shared the album cover on social media and described Addison as “a true collection of [her] proudest work yet”, adding it was born out of a deep desperation and desire to understand herself better.

Rae, who rose to prominence with her viral TikTok dances, discussed her transition to music in a recent interview with Elle and explained why this shift felt like a no-brainer.

“Growing up as a dancer was such a natural transition into that sound. I was interested in how that music made you feel, and how it made your body move. I think music is mind control – it opens up this portal of energy,” she told Elle.

The 2025 Academy Awards are just a few days away, and we finally know who’ll hit the iconic stage at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The list of performers has been unveiled, and it includes Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, plus Lisa, Doja Cat, Raye, and Queen Latifah.

Grande and Erivo recently co-starred in the hit musical Wicked and both received Oscar nominations for their respective performances. They’ll reportedly open the ceremony with a medley of the biggest hits from this film, but this rumor hasn’t been officially confirmed by the Academy.

Lisa, Doja Cat, and Raye, who recently collaborated on the song “Born Again” from Lisa’s debut solo album Alter Ego, will also perform at the Oscars. The hip-hop legend Queen Latifah will be a part of the show, which will feature “showstopping performances celebrating the filmmaking community and some of its legends.”

“El Mal” and “Mi Camino”  from Emilia Pérez, “The Journey” from The Six Triple Eight, ”Like a Bird” from Sing Sing, and “Never Too Late” from Elton John: Never Too Late are in the running for the best original song, but they won’t be performed during the show, as a response to the Los Angeles wildfires that devastated California last month.

The 2025 Academy Awards will take place on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with Conan O’Brien hosting the show.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is gearing up to announce the Class of 2025, and we finally know who’ll be on this year’s ballot. The list of candidates for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction has been announced, and it includes the likes of Mariah Carey, Oasis, Cyndi Lauper, and The White Stripes.

An artist becomes eligible for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording, and many of this year’s candidates happen to be first-timers. That happens to be the case with the English rock supergroup Bad Company, blues-rockers The Black Crowes, early rock n’ roll legend Chubby Checker, blues singer Joe Cocker, punk rocker Billy Idol, Mexican rockers Maná, and hip-hop duo Outkast.

The list of 14 acts vying for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction also includes the powerhouse singer Mariah Carey, post-punk pioneers Joy Division/New Order, dance-pop legend Cyndi Lauper, jam band Phish, grunge hitmakers Soundgarden, the rock duo The White Stripes, and Britpop band Oasis, who recently reunited for the sold-out Oasis Live ’25 Tour.

Nominees will be voted on by a committee of 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals. The Class of 2025 will be announced in late April, while the induction ceremony will take place in Los Angeles this fall.

The race for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart was as tight as ever this week, but Bad Bunny managed to come out victorious. He soared to the top spot with his latest album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, beating Taylor Swift’s Lover: Live From Paris by just 1,000  units.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos earned 203,500 equivalent album units during its first full tracking week, including 195,000 SEA units (equaling 264.03 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs), 7,500 traditional album sales, and 1,000 TEA units.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos scored the largest streaming week for a Latin album since Bad Bunny’s own record Un Verano Sin Ti debuted with 356.55 million. He also hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with El Último Tour Del Mundo (2020) and Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana (2023).

Bad Bunny managed to top the Billboard 200 chart with Debí Tirar Más Fotos just 1,000 units ahead of Taylor Swift’s Lover: Live From Paris, which hit No. 2 with 202,500 equivalent album units earned.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos hit the shelves on January 5, and its release was preceded by singles “El Clúb”, “Pitorro de Coco”, and “Baile Inolvidable”. Bad Bunny will promote its release with a 30-day Residency at Coliseo de Puerto Rico, which sold out in just four hours.

The first month of 2025 is finally behind us, and it’s given us more amazing songs than we can count. Some of our favorite artists, including The Weeknd, Clairo, Sasami, and The Lumineers, wrapped January up by rocking our world with some amazing new tracks.

This Friday marked the release of numerous new albums, but none of them created more buzz than The Weeknd’s long-awaited record Hurry Up Tomorrow. It’s a collection of 21 brand-new songs, each one amazing in its own right, and we singled out “Cry For Me” as one of the early favorites.

This has also been a pretty epic week for amazing collaborations. We’ve seen many of our favorite indie artists join forces, starting with Sasami and Clairo, whose duet “In Love With A Memory” is the best of both worlds.

James Bay and Jon Batiste partnered up for “Sunshine in the Room”, while Jamie xx and Erykah Badu rocked our world with their unexpected collaboration “F.U.” Indie rock darlings Julien Baker and Torres impressed us with their new duet “Sylvia”.

The rest of our list is equally amazing, and it features brand-new tracks from a wide range of genres, from country to R&B. Stick around to discover new songs by The Lumineers, Cat Burns, Jessie Reyez, Zach Bryan, and Nessa Barrett.
