She finally answered their prayers this Friday, when the lead single “1:59” ft. Gunna hit the shelves. She also announced that Dopamine would be released on June 14 via RCA Records.
Normani discussed the release of her debut album with Elle and revealed she went through several different titles, including Butterfly Effect and 1906, which was the address of her grandmother’s house where she was raised.
“Dopamine represents the highs and the lows I’ve endured. It’s been such an emotional roller coaster… I really wanted to have a title that felt like it definitely encompassed everything that I feel I’ve been through in my journey to get to the point that I’m in right now,” she explained.

It debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the week’s highest-charting new song, in addition to being Carpenter’s first single to enter the top ten.
In addition to finding success in the US, “Espresso” also entered the top ten in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, becoming her highest-charting song in these territories.
Carpenter recently revealed that the lyrics for “Espresso” came together pretty quickly when she was in France, and she could feel how fun the song would be from the very start.
“I think for me, there was something really exciting about the fact that there was so much personality throughout the entire song because those are the ones that are really, really fun to sing live with a crowd,” Carpenter told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe.

]]>It’s been almost three years since PinkPantheress shared this song with the world, but its music video never saw the light of day. That finally changed this past Friday, when the young R&B star decided to drop the dreamy “Reason” visual, filmed in the middle of the woods.
Sharing this video doesn’t seem to be a promo strategy, but simply a treat for her loyal fans. “Reason” was initially released all the way back in October 2021, as one of 10 songs from PinkPantheress’ debut mixtape To Hell with It, and it wasn’t even one of its singles.
She produced this drum and bass song alongside Zach Nahome, and they ended up making the beat together.
“I told him what kind of drums I wanted, what kind of sound and space I wanted, and he came up with that. With garage music, I just enjoy the breakbeats of it, the drums. It’s also quintessentially British. We birthed it. I think it’s always nice to go back to your roots,” the singer told Genius.

Charli XCX and Troye Sivan kicked off their collaboration with “1999” in 2018 and released its follow-up “2099” a year later. Charli XCX is also planning to tour with her new album Brat, set to be released on June 7. Sivan’s latest album Something to Give Each Other came out last year and produced hit singles “Rush”, “Got Me Started”, and “One of Your Girls”.

]]>Jon Bon Jovi recently opened up about his struggle to sing live after undergoing surgery on his vocal cords in 2022 in a conversation with The Sunday Times. His voice hasn’t been the same ever since, and he said that he’s “done” performing live if he can’t go back to his old self, while also adding he’s “good with that”.
This isn’t the first time he dropped hints about his potential retirement from touring. The rock legend previously told The Times there’s a huge difference between performing in a studio and going out on the road.
“We have just recorded a new album. I sing in vocal therapy every day. But I want to perform for two and a half hours a night, four nights a week – and I know how good I can be, so if I can’t be that guy… put it this way, I don’t ever need to be the fat Elvis,” said Bon Jovi.
Despite not planning to tour anytime soon, the members of Bon Jovi are getting ready to give their fans some new music. The band’s next album Forever will be released on June 7 via Island.

]]>Swift was one of the artists whose songs were pulled from the platform after TikTok failed to renew their licensing deal with Universal Music. The label was seeking fair compensation for their artists and protection from AI and piracy, and they refused to renew their deal after TikTok reportedly refused their conditions.
Music by artists licensed to UMG was removed from TikTok’s General Music Library at the time, affecting the likes of Swift, SZA, Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, Coldplay, and Kendrick Lamar. Smaller artists suffered an even bigger blow, losing an important promotional tool that helped them put their music on the map.
Three months later, some of Swift’s songs are back on TikTok, including “Lover,” “Anti-Hero,” “Cruel Summer”, “Cardigan”, and Taylor’s Versions of some of her re-recorded hits. It’s unclear if Swift reached a separate deal with TikTok or if she was able to take this step because she owns the copyright to her music under her Universal deal from 2018.
Swift’s music reappeared on TikTok just in time for the release of her next album The Tortured Poets Department, set to hit the shelves on April 19.

Out Of This World – The Missy Elliott Experience will kick off with a concert in Vancouver, Canada on July 4. She’ll perform everywhere from Los Angeles and Seattle to Brooklyn and Las Vegas before wrapping up the tour on August 22 in Rosemont, Illinois. She’ll be joined by several amazing guests, including her producing partner Timbaland, plus Busta Rhymes and Ciara.

As for Metro Boomin, We Don’t Trust You scored the biggest week of his career and it’s his fourth chart-topping album overall.
