]]>In an interview with NME, Noodle from Gorillaz spoke about the records that “changed her life” and “filled her with fury” as well as what song she wants played at her funeral. Her answer to the latter was none other than rock legends Queen.
“Either ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’ by Queen, or Mozart’s ‘Requiem Mass in D Minor,’” she said about her funeral song. “Can I have both? I like the duality of joy and sadness that defines us as humans, first in life and then in the memories we leave behind for others.
“There was actually a memorial service for me when everyone thought I was dead after the ‘El Manana’ video. Murdoc performed Ozzy Osborne’s ‘See You On The Other Side’ in nothing but a pair of leather wings and full skull makeup. I’m honestly glad I missed it.”
As for the records that “changed her life”, these include The Who, Silver Apples, Talking Heads and Biggie Smalls to name a few. And the records she hates? Noodle can’t stand “Anything insincere and badly played. Or by Muse.”

]]>Aretha’s publicist Gwendolyn Quinn told People magazine: “Aretha Franklin has been the Matriarch of the Franklin family since the passing of all of her siblings. The love she has for her family is above reproach and was evident in the warm smiles she was able to share with her nephew during his very brief visit two weeks ago.
“She is seriously ill and surrounded by family members who appreciate the outpouring of love and support they have received.”
Although reports have said she is preparing to say her goodbyes, her nephew Tim Franklin remains optimistic.
“She’s alert, laughing, teasing, able to recognize people. Family is there with her. She’s home. I saw her a week ago Friday and we talked for about 45 minutes to an hour,” he said. “My brother was there on Saturday and she was alert, talking, laughing, joking.”
He added: “We believe she’ll pull through it, she believes she’ll pull through it, and that’s the important thing.”
Her fans across the world are hopeful that she will pull through it too.

While Ryan Adams can’t make a mistake with any of these albums, his fans would certainly appreciate the most if he was to release album Black Hole, for which he revealed the cover on Tuesday as well.

It is widely speculated that Adams recorded Black Hole more than 10 years ago, during the time he struggled with drugs and alcohol addiction. The singer has routinely teased the release of the album, and occasionally performed two of its tracks, “The Door” and “Catherine,” during live shows.
In some of his previous interviews, Ryan Adams explained why the album still remains unreleased.
“There’s one where the vocals and the performances are really f**ed-up,” he told NME back in 2014. “Then there’s a second version, which was the last thing I did when I was still messed up. Bits and pieces of that had to be stitched together to make the final product like a patchwork quilt because some of its vocal takes are too f**ed-up to release. But it’s really cool and the end result made me very happy.”

]]>Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story documentary talks about the path of Birdman’s Cash Money Records from humble beginnings to being one of the most iconic and successful record labels in hip-hop history. In addition to the new Big Tymers song, the documentary’s soundtrack also contains Birdman’s collab with Young Thug, “Lil One.” You can check out the music video for the song, featuring Paris Hilton, below.
Big Tymers were founded by Birdman and Mannie Fresh in 1993 in New Orleans. The duo released their debut album in 1997 titled How You Luv That, which sold 100,000 copies without any backing from the radio stations. The follow-up How You Luv That Vol. 2 was released a year later and gave the band more exposure. In 2002 came the duo’s most successful album, Hood Rich, which peaked at number one of the US Billboard 200 and remains their bestselling album to date. Mannie Fresh left the Big Tymers in 2002, after a financial dispute with Birdman’s Cash Money Records, but returned for the last album, 2003’s Big Money Heavyweight.
