It’s been four years since the release of Lorde’s last studio album, and she’s finally gearing up for an epic comeback. She announced the release of her long-awaited fourth studio album Virgin, which will hit the shelves on June 27.

Lorde teased the release of Virgin by sharing its cryptic album cover and a tracklist that includes a total of 11 songs. She’s yet to reveal the track titles, but they were produced by her and Jim-E Stack, along with Fabiana Palladino, Andrew Aged, Buddy Ross, Dan Nigro, and Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes.

Lorde sent out a letter to fans where she explained what her new album is all about, adding its “language is plain and unsentimental.”

“I was trying to see myself, all the way through. I was trying to make a document that reflected my femininity: raw, primal, innocent, elegant, openhearted, spiritual, masc. I’m proud and scared of this album. There’s nowhere to hide. I believe that putting the deepest parts of ourselves to music is what sets us free,” she wrote.

Lorde officially announced the release of Virgin shortly after dropping its lead single “What Was That” back on Friday. Its synth-pop vibe drew comparisons to her 2017 album Melodrama and marked a departure from the indie folk sound she embraced on her latest album Solar Power.

Our favorite female artists were having a blast this week, and we’ve seen everyone from Laufey and Rachel Chinouriri to PinkPantheress and Jessie Murph rock our world with new music this week. We can always count on the Academy Awards to bring some amazing performances our way, and this year’s ceremony certainly delivered. The night full of surprises saw “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez win the Oscar for the best original song, but these three epic performances ended up stealing the show.

“Wicked” Medley

No musical this year created more buzz than Wicked, and it was only fitting for this film to get some time in the spotlight at the Oscars. Its stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande opened the show with an epic medley that included “Over the Rainbow”, “Home”, and “Defying Gravity”, delivering one of the night’s most memorable moments.

Quincy Jones Tribute

The late composer Quincy Jones was one of the recipients of this year’s Academy Honorary Awards, and the Oscars found a special way to celebrate his legacy. Queen Latifah was in charge of delivering the tribute to Jones, which included the song “Ease on Down the Road” from the hit Broadway musical The Wiz.

“James Bond” Tribute

James Bond tribute honoring the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson was also a part of this year’s Oscars. Pop stars Lisa, Doja Cat, and Raye performed some of the hit songs from this beloved action franchise, including “Live and Let Die”, “Diamonds are Forever”, and “Skyfall”, while The Substance star Margaret Qualley danced in the background.

Members of Blackpink have mostly been focusing on solo projects in recent months, but they’re gearing up for a big reunion this summer. The K-pop girl group will embark on a stadium tour in 10 cities around the world in just a few months, including Los Angeles, New York, and Paris.

Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will kick off their world tour with two concerts in South Korea on July 5-6, before heading to North America and Europe. They’ll stay on the road throughout July and August and perform at many iconic venues, from SoFi Stadium in LA to Wembley Stadium in London.

Blackpink member Rosé recently discussed the group’s reunion with The Cut and revealed they’ll be coming out with new music pretty soon.

“As much as we all needed some time to go out and explore and be our own people, we still have business left to do. We’ve got to do some more damage. It was a healthy process of talking honestly about what we need and want in our lives and making sure we’re all happy at the end of the day,” she told The Cut.

She recently found success with the Bruno Mars collaboration “Apt.” from her debut solo album Rosie. Her bandmate Lisa is gearing up for the release of her debut solo album Alter Ego on February 28, while Jennie’s debut solo album Ruby is hitting the shelves on March 7.

The Weeknd’s new album Hurry Up Tomorrow was supposed to hit the shelves on January 25, but we’ll have to wait for it a little bit longer. The Canadian superstar decided to delay its release out of respect and concern for the people who’ve been affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

The Weeknd released an official statement pushing the release of Hurry Up Tomorrow to January 31 and canceled the Rose Bowl concert “out of respect and concern for the people of Los Angeles County.”

“This city has always been a profound source of inspiration for me, and my thoughts are with everyone impacted during this difficult time… My focus remains on supporting the recovery of these communities and aiding its incredible people as they rebuild,” he said in a statement.

Hurry Up Tomorrow represents the final installment in The Weeknd’s trilogy, which kicked off with After Hours and continued with Dawn FM. He promoted its release with three singles – “Dancing in the Flames”, “Timeless” ft. Playboi Carti, and “São Paulo” ft. Anitta.

Hurry Up Tomorrow will be released via XO and Republic Records on January 31, and The Weeknd is planning to promote its release with a world tour later this year.

Jonas Brothers have been performing together for 20 years, and they’re marking the occasion in style. The trio will embark on the 20th anniversary of Living the Dream Tour this summer and fall, which includes 43 dates across North America.

Jonas Brothers are gearing up to perform at stadiums and arenas across both the U.S. and North America. The trio announced it during a recent JONASCON event in New Jersey, which also included live performances, DJ sets, Q&A panels, special guests, and so much more.

“We’re beyond excited to hit the road and celebrate 20 years of music. Our fans have been with us through every chapter, and this tour is our way of honoring them, the memories we’ve made, and the ones we’ll create together. We can’t wait to make this our biggest, most unforgettable tour yet,” said the trio in a statement.

The 43-date tour will kick off with a concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 10. They’ll stay on the road until November, and perform at such iconic venues as the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, the Rogers Centre in Toronto, and the Fenway Park in Boston.

Jonas Brothers will be in good company during the Living the Dream Tour, and they’ll be joined by Marshmello, The All-American Rejects, and Boys Like Girls.
